Deep underground in Tokyo’s Kabukicho district is a cavernous fantasy land, filled with bikini-clad dancers, potentially seizure-inducing light shows, and lots and lots of robots. Opened in July 2012, the Robot Restaurant is like an LED anime explosion, with food. Unsurprisingly, it’s not the food that keeps people coming back. Fitted out at a cost of ¥10 billion, Tokyo hasn’t seen anything like this since the Bubble Era. A unique place on earth, not to be missed !
